From the age of 19 I have been intrigued with fitness and keeping my body in the best shape I could.
The SECRET for doing this, one I've known for a long time, is that it is not any diet or workout routine that is responsible for my being able to stay fit but rather the the self growth concepts I have been studying and instilling within my thinking over the years that has put and kept me on the road to a life of health and wellness.
Strangely enough, the book that has had the most impact on my health over the last 24 years is not considered a health book at all.
Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill, a self growth book, introduced concepts like the power of visualization, Law of Attraction and how thoughts really are things.
What I discovered in those pages has done more to shape my life than anything else I have ever come across, even to this day. In my opinion this should be required reading in every school in America, a book that actually shows you how to think for yourself.
In 2005 a started a web site called Quantum Health and Fitness (which later became Kahunka).
My idea was to share what I had learned over the last two decades through the site and do it in a non-formal, fun and sexy way.
After all the physical result of achieving higher levels of health and fitness is a healthy and sexy body.
This model seemed to be working pretty well since I was adding subscribers and there was a lot of interest in the site.
I was having fun putting my own personality into Kahunka.
Then somewhere along the way I started listening to critics tell me that it would be hard to attract a large following to Kahunka because people might think the site was too gay or because I would never be taken seriously doing videos with no shirt or that I showed to much skin on the site or for this reason or that.
Eventually my ideas became diluted with those of others and Kahunka lost its way.
The attempt to make the site more "acceptable and professional looking" was met with my decreased interest in maintaining it which ultimately brought traffic to a halt.
My options included taking Kahunka completely offline, using the domain for another project ( I have several other sites) or taking it back to its roots as a casual yet informative site that may inspire others to achieve higher levels of health and wellness.
My decision was to keep Kahunka alive and continue with the original mission.
For those of you that may be wondering about the GeneWize material that was on Kahunka the last several months, yes I do take customized nutrients and will continue to do so in fact much of the material I will be sharing on Kahunka revolves around epigenetics but will be presented in a non-branded fashion.
Any knowledge that you possess is only as good as your ability to actually use it to improve your life and the lives of others so I guess this site is in some some way my attempt at both.
I'll be 44 on my next birthday and have never felt better in my entire life. I'm pain, ache and disease free and I believe that I continue to live in this state due to my philosophies toward life much of which I plan to share here on Kahunka.
If your interested in improving your life on a health, spiritual and fitness level then consider visiting Kahunka every so often to see what's new.

Michael: I do not think your website is “too gay”, but yes you are a hot man and yes I am gay. That aside, do like your website and your openess to alternative ways of thinking and understanding the world. Already familiar with some of the books you mentioned, like “Think and Grow Rich”. Would think you have already seen the movie, “What the Bleep Do You Know?”, an intro to “quantum mechanics” and the power of our thoughts to affect the world and our life simply through the act of observation. Also good reading on similar subjects are the “Power of Intention” by Lynn Taggart, and “Evolve Your Brain” by Dr. Joe Dispenza.
The ultimate physical fitness and nutrition books I have read which I consider to be the “bible of fitness and health”, are 2 books by Rob Faigin, “Natural Hormonal Enhancement” (NHE), and “Hormonally Intelligent Exercise (HIE). See http://www.extique.com for info on these 2 phenomenal books. Truly, from reading and implementing the strategies in these 2 books since 2004, I believe I have finally found the “silver bullet” to the natural way to obtain the fountain of youth by understanding how our hormones work and to naturally enhance them without drugs, but diet and exercise.
From a spiritual perspective, perhaps you have heard of “A Course in Miracles”. That book is another subject for another time. Peace and best of success in all you do! Greg (Alexandria, VA)
Love your new website so far… keep up the great work!

So glad to see you back online Michael – we love you just the way you are. This site has been an incredible resource for me, and I’m grateful for what you are doing!
Thanks for the support everyone!
I will check out the site you mentioned Greg, thanks bud.
I was afraid we lost you Mike. Great website……you are the master of spiritual health and nutrition.
Kahunka, you are a God amongst men
Hi Michael -
Its great to see you back online again. I am grateful for you and the information you present on your site. It was back in 2007 when I started looking for natural healthy physical fitness information when I came across your site. The information that I came across on your site was much, much more than I imagined. That’s where I first learned about the movie “The Secret”, other films, and self growth material you mention. I have been learning, reading, studying more about the understanding of me and the world I live. I have consciously been aware of what I now put into my body.
I am glad you show pictures of yourself on the site and you do look great. Its an inspiration for others as well to learn, grow and be yourself. Your site continues to be a great resource for me and I appreciate the work you are doing!
Thanks for the feedback I appreciate it everyone. Now that I have the foundation of this new site established I can start moving forward with some cool new stuff.
