Sunshine is Healthful, Sunscreens Cause Cancer - Kahunka

TanningOne of the absolute best things you can do for your health is to dance naked in direct sunlight for 20-30 minutes every single day.

OK naked may not cut it with the neighbors but the closer you can get to it the better.

I know, it's been pounded into our heads especially in recent years that the sun is not our friend and even minimal exposure will eventually have you in the dermatologists office getting your melanomas burnt off.

This is pure propaganda propagated by a mostly corrupt medical industry whose policies are heavily influenced by the special interests that help support it.

After all...

Getting medical treatment may be one of the most most dangerous things you could ever do since big pharma and the medical industry kill more people every year than any other single cause in this country.

That is a hard fact.

I know that sounds harsh and you're probably thinking about rounding up some buddies about now to hunt me down and hang me from the nearest tree but the undisputed facts are that doctors and the medical establishment have a poor track record when it comes to giving health advice.

Here is just one example, I could give many like this.

Barely fifty years ago doctors not only condoned smoking they claimed it was good for you! Not only that they recommended that you should do it!

I'm not saying all doctors intentionally hand out misinformation, but I do believe that the big pharma sponsored medical schools and organizations like the AMA physicians are educated by and associate with are more interested in maintaining the status quo than the integrity of health care in this country.

There are many caring compassionate allopathic health professionals in this country who do a lot of good and after all we all defend what we believe.

It is the doctor that looks beyond the medical school indoctrination and furthers their education to include a more holistic, natural approach to their practice instead of merely being a drug dispenser for the pharmaceutical industry that holds the greatest immediate hope for the health of this country.

Unfortunately many graduate from medical school with the arrogant belief that what they have been taught is the final word in human health and all else is quackery.

In that case I'm proud to be a quack.

This is one of the problems with health care today, resistance to change even in the face of undeniable evidence to the contrary.
The truth is sunshine is good for you and reacts with your skin to produce the very precious prehormone vitamin D.

Several recent studies show that vitamin D may be one of the most powerful cancer preventatives there is, not the other way around as the sunscreen and dermatology industries would have you believe.

One study in the American Journal of Epidemiology states...

"Considerable evidence indicates that vitamin D may reduce the risk of several cancers, including breast cancer." - SOURCE

Notice they did not say "some evidence" or even "evidence indicates" they said "considerable evidence indicates" which means it's a pretty good chance that vitamin D may reduce the risk of several cancers.

Other studies have reached similar conclusions on the benefit of sunlight. There's a list of over TWENTY such studies at the end of this article.

Those of us in the natural and holistic health movement have always known sensible sunlight exposure has many healthful benefits for the body, mind and soul.

Sensible sunlight exposure is the best way to get your vitamin D.

The people that sunburn easily and end up with skin problems probably do so because their skin does not contain the proper nutrients and ant-oxidants needed for protection from the potentially harmful effects of the sun. This is due to the consumption of the nutrient-depleted standard American diet (SAD).

Diet and overexposure are the problem.

The caveat with this whole thing is making sure you get healthy sensible sun exposure and not the kind of irresponsible exposure that results in a sun burn.

The key is to load your skin up with anti-oxidants by eating a diet of fruits and veggies and then practice sensible gradual sun exposure preferably in the morning and late afternoon.

If you work indoors and have pale, pasty skin from lack of sunlight exposure, consider finding a small amount of time each day to soak up some rays, you might be amazed at how much better you'll feel.

If you're pale-skinned absorb 10-15 minutes of rays either before 10AM or after 3PM and work your way up to about 30 minutes over time. The sun rays of mid day are too harsh so avoid this time.

Darker skinned people will need a little longer.

If you plan to stay in the sun for longer periods of time cover your body with clothing and your head with a hat.

laying in the sun for long periods of time to get a tan is foolish and is not a healthy practice.

Most sunscreens are not only not effective but contain ingredients that are associated with cancer!

If you decide to use sunscreen remember that most of the products on the supermarket shelves are not only ineffective but they can also make you sick.
